CLADODE - a flattened stem that functions like a leaf, as you’ll see on Easter and Christmas cacti.
SNOOPENT - FAKE!
SESSILE - REAL! A leaf or flower that lacks a stalk
PROPAGULE - REAL! A unit of propagation such as a seed or cutting.
ADAXIAL - REAL! The upper surface of a leaf.
NOMEN NUDUM - REAL! Literally ‘naked name’, meaning a name that is not accepted by the taxonomists.
PLONKTATE - FAKE!
CAUDICIFORM - REAL! A plant with a base that is a fattened stem, trunk or above ground root.
PUMMICLE - FAKE!
STIGMA - REAL! The part of the flower that receives pollen when the plant is pollinated.
FLOCCOSE - REAL! A plant with woolly tufts all over it.
AGAMOSPERMY - REAL! When a plant reproduces vegetatively from unfertilised seeds.
SNAPULIX - FAKE!
FERVONOUS - FAKE!
